Tomorrow, In a Year is an opera based on Charles Darwin’s “On the Origin of Species”. A collaboration between The Knife with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock. The Knife is commonly known as a casual listen, but Tomorrow, In a Year is a completely different kind of wonderland, its starkness embodying the density of the entire project. The Knife decided to make slight adjustments to the opera for this audio release, but never seeing the opera, I don’t know what is different about it. You will never be hearing an album like Tomorrow, In a Year by anyone else any time soon–not even by The Knife.
