Australian band, Eskimo Joe has shared with us a lot of great albums from Girl, From the Sea and Black Fingernails, Red Wine. Now their fourth album Inshalla sees the band exploring different sounds. As Kav has stated; “I had a real moment when in Egypt with our manager and I kind of had to make a decision whether I wanted to jump further off the precipice of being a rock star or just be Kav again and go back home to Fremantle. And that’s basically what I chose and that’s where the stories from the album came from.” The difference in sound really shows, the album sounds like a Middle Eastern clone of the band, with more personal and somewhat spiritual songs on offer. If you expect just another Eskimo Joe album you may be disappointed but if you enjoy experimentation or growth in a band then this album is extremely enjoyable
