Drawing inspiration from bands like Animal Collective, Mercury Rev and even Prince and New Order, Passion Pits debut album, Manners is everything you want from an Indie pop album. The album is jammed packed full of sweet tones, synth pop hooks and at times soulful or upbeat to create a breezy pop delight. Sleepyhead is possibly the bands most popular song is a shining example of what the band is all about, it screams and ascends, while at the same time it’s shaky and cruel. Manners does have some musical and vocal imperfections but this only adds to the charm of the record, the album is full of different shades to keep the listener enjoying the album over and over again.
