You would be forgiven if you thought ‘Jack White in another band!’ Band of Skulls’ vocalist Russell Marsden could easily be mistaken for Jack White and the band has a very Raconteurs feel to them. Their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey mixes old style blues rock with some indie stylings to make what seems to be a very common Lo-Fi garage rock sound that seems to be a winning formula lately. Band of Skulls seemed to have got this sound very right, as this is one of the best sounding Lo-Fi records I’ve heard in awhile. The band even mixes in some elements of some of there biggest influences; U2, Coldplay and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Baby Darling Doll Face Honey is a pleasant offing of an all to common sound.
