The radio played to death You Get What You Give by The New Radicals. But Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too is so much more than that one song. The New Radicals seems like a typical 90’s angst rock on first listen, but after a few listens you’ll find that the album is more a congenial and highly melodic throwback to the rock and blue-eyed soul of the early to mid-’70s. The New Radicals don’t beat you over the head with a sociopolitical agenda like many of the other bands at the time. Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too is unfortunately an under-rated pop/rock album which had great potential but never really took off. Apart from You Get What You Give, some great and potential hit singles include; Mother We Just Can’t Get Enough, Someday We’ll Know & Crying Like A Church On Monday.

This is probably my most favourite album of all time. Its something I can so easily return to, and it always finds a way to touch me. Its a shame that they never released more, but maybe what makes the album so special is that there isn't any more
