
If we are talking about classic albums you can’t really go past the Jazz masterpiece, Birth of the Cool. The album was first released in 1949 by Jazz legend Miles Davis is often referred as the defining point of cool jazz. The album was practically perfect in every way it combined elements of big band with the moods of jazz, delivered by some of the most skilful musicians around, including Kai Winding, Gerry Mulligan, Lee Konitz, and Max Roach.
